On July 8, a delegation led by Distinguished Chair Professor Dr. Ooi Keng Boon and Senior Professor Dr. Garry Tan Wei Han from UCSI University, Malaysia, visited our school to conduct a special academic exchange event.

Adhering to the principle of open education, our school actively builds international academic exchange platforms and expands channels for external cooperation. As a world-renowned top university, UCSI University ranks 282nd globally in the 2027 QS World University Rankings, placing it among the top 1% of universities worldwide. Its Business and Management is ranked 151–200 globally in the QS Rankings, earning wide recognition for its academic excellence. As the first School of Business for Sciences and Technology in Zhejiang Province, we have high expectations for this cross-border academic dialogue. Both visiting scholars are leading experts in their fields, with a long-standing commitment to cutting-edge research at the intersection of technology and business. They are included in the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists, boasting profound academic attainments and rich practical experience.

During the exchange, Senior Professor Dr. Garry Tan Wei Han delivered a presentation titled "Writing Literature Review in an Empirical Article." He systematically broke down four key competencies: building on grand theoretical frameworks, focusing on academic debates, tracing cutting-edge research trends, and citing high-impact journal publications. This provided clear, actionable guidance for teachers and students to overcome challenges in literature review writing and improve the acceptance rate of papers in peer review.

Subsequently, Distinguished Chair Professor Dr. Ooi Keng Boon shared insights on "Pathways to Academic Success: Increasing H-index and Citation Count". From perspectives including topic selection, research design, and research dissemination, he elaborated on practical strategies to enhance journal impact factor and citation counts, offering strong support for faculty and students to produce high-quality research and expand academic influence.

This cross-border academic exchange was packed with valuable insights and received enthusiastic responses. It not only opened a direct channel for our faculty and students to engage with world-class scholars but also broadened research horizons and inspired enthusiasm for scientific innovation. It laid a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation and for jointly cultivating academic talent on both sides.
